This role sits within Preqin, a part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio.

Key responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic VP with a focus on Operational Excellence and Vendor Management. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy and data driven individual who has a track record of leading and doing the day to day operations.
- Vendor Management:
- Develop and implement policies for vendor management, including performance tracking and reporting.
- Ensure on time high quality data delivery with a single pane of glass for data pipeline observability and support
- Partner cross-functionally to enhance existing data sets and vendor operations, eliminating manual inputs and ensuring high quality, and onboarding new data sets
- Lead change while ensuring daily operational excellence, quality, and control
- Ops Excellence:
- Develop, monitor, and manage capacity management for multiple vendors
- Perform monthly variance analysis on KPI and provide insights to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with leaders to identify efficiency opportunities on new and existing datasets
- Support senior management in strategic decision-making with accurate financial/operational data and projections.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner across different teams to manage and improve cross-functional processes related to vendor workflow and onboarding/offboarding
- Communicate insights and vendor performance data to senior management.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead initiatives independently
- Ability to operate and monitor large data sets through the data lifecycle, including the tooling and observability required to be ensure data quality and control at scale
- Practical and detailed oriented operations leader
- Unimpeachable ethical standards
- Ability to navigate a large, highly matrixed organization
- Nice to haves: Knowledge of cloud-based databases/warehousing (Snowflake) SQL, Python, and Business Intelligence tools
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Statistics or Data Analytics
