Job Profile Summary

We are looking for a talented and dedicated External Communications professional to join our regional Communications and Brand team. This is a regional role based in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our external communications strategies and ensuring our organization’s message is effectively conveyed to external audiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • PR/ Media relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists and PR agencies. Proactively pitch stories and press releases to secure media coverage. Develop press releases, media briefing notes, bylines and related collaterals for markets and spokespersons. Organise and promote press conferences and media roundtables. Manage external PR agencies to set and deliver communications objectives.
  • Strategic communications: Develop and execute regional strategic communications plan. Develop key messaging and provide strategic advisory to senior management.
  • Content creation: Develop compelling content, including press releases, articles, and social media updates, that align with the company’s messaging and goals.
  • Channel management: Managing contents and traffic for intranet, corporate websites, and social media (LinkedIn).
  • Crisis communication: Be prepared to handle crisis situations effectively, providing timely and accurate information to the media and the public.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Engage with key stakeholders including internal business stakeholders and external clients, to build and maintain positive relationships.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing
  • More than 7 years of relevant experience in communications, preferably in a regional role
  • Proven experience in external communications and public relations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, copywriting and editing skills, with critical thinking ability
  • Exceptional interpersonal and senior stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of banking industry trends and emerging communication technologies
  • Experience in managing external PR and media agencies
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry is preferred
  • A collaborative team player, who can also work independently. This is an independent contributor role.
