Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated Client Onboarding Lead – Global Markets Products to join us. This role will focus on providing seamless onboarding support for corporate clients engaging in global markets products across the APAC region. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between clients, internal stakeholders, and operations team to ensure efficient compliance and product enablement.Job Responsibilities:
  • Client Onboarding & End-to-end facilitation
    • Lead and manage Client Onboarding - global markets products team in the APAC region.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client for Global Market products onboarding, ensuring smooth onboarding experience.
    • Drive implementation and improvements to Global markets product onboarding for best client experience focused on reduction in TAT and first time right.
    • Drive and be part of automation and digitization initiatives
    • Guide and support client in understanding onboarding requirements for global market products.
    • Coordinate with front office, compliance, legal team and operations to deliver timely onboarding.
    • Timely identification and escalation of issues during onboarding.
    • Provide guidance on regulatory framework such as Dodd Frank Act, EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation), and JSA (Japanese Securities Act) as part of markets onboarding requirement.
    • Collect, review and validate client onboarding documentation in line with regulatory requirements, markets regulation and internal policies.
    • Work closely with Global Markets compliance team to ensure adherence to all the regulatory requirements (Eg: US Persons Onboarding)
    • Track onboarding progress, maintain accurate records and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for Global Markets Onboarding cases
    • Manage and mentor the team, providing performance and performance feedback.
    • Foster culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Drive continuous improvement in onboarding to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience & Knowledge
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in client onboarding, regulatory onboarding, middle office, or operations within Financial Markets or Institutional Banking, with at least 2 years in handling Global Markets products.
    • Direct experience and knowledge of Global Markets business in any of the following areas preferably in Middle office operations and risk.
    • Product knowledge of Bonds, Equities, FX and derivatives is preferred
    • Good knowledge of KYC/AML regulations and corporate client onboarding process specifically onboarding Global Markets products and Funds clients
    • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory frameworks including Dodd Frank Act, EMIR (European Market Infrastructure Regulation), and JSA (Japanese Securities Act) as part of markets onboarding requirement.
    • Experience coordinating with Legal, Compliance, KYC, and Front Office teams.
    • Experience working with corporate clients across APAC region.
