Oversee day-to-day tanker fleet operations including loading/discharging and maintenance scheduling, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, optimize fleet performance and costs, liaise with ports/clients/contractors, monitor vessel performance and incidents, prepare reports, and lead crew for safe, efficient operations.
Royal Ocean Marine is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vessel Tanker Operations Manager to join our client team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities related to our client tanker fleet, ensuring that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of tanker vessels, including loading, discharging, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize fleet performance and minimize costs.
- Liaise with port authorities, clients, and contractors to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor vessel performance and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports related to vessel operations, performance, and incidents.
- Provide leadership and guidance to crew members to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5- 7 years of experience in tanker operations or a similar role within the maritime industry.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and tanker operations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel as required and work flexible hours.
