Purpose:

Manage daily trade finance transaction processing with strict adherence to Service Level Indicators (SLIs), ensuring excellent customer service, effective risk controls, and compliance with AML regulations and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

•              Process and supervise daily trade finance transactions, including independent checks on Import/Export documents under Letters of Credit (LC).

•              Resolve document discrepancies and liaise with customers on rectifications.

•              Follow up on acceptances, payments, dishonoured documents, and issue rebuttals as needed.

•              Record transactions accurately and manage dispatch and day-end reconciliation.

•              Review trade finance documents for AML risks and conduct detailed transaction analysis.

•              Perform AML screening using relevant tools; escalate suspicious findings.

•              Collaborate with compliance on risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

•              Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AML regulations and sanctions.

•              Lead and train staff, promote teamwork, and drive continuous process improvements.

•              Deliver excellent customer service and provide technical support.

•              Conduct AML training and maintain accurate records for audits.

•              Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

•              Minimum 3 years’ experience in trade finance operations.

•              Strong knowledge of LC rules (UCP600, ISP98, ISBP, URR725) and trade finance products.

•              Familiarity with commodities trade LCs and SWIFT message types preferred.

•              Experience in AML, risk, and TBML screening.

•              Project management experience in trade finance is a plus.

•              Detail-oriented, proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently and in teams.

•              Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, discretion, and integrity.

•              Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems.

This role is 100% work in office, based at Tampines
