The Cboe FX team is hiring for a Trade Desk Associate.

Cboe FX is seeking a highly motivated Trade Desk Associate to join its global FX operations team, based in Singapore. As a core member of our follow-the-sun service desk, you will play a critical role in supporting a 24x5 low-latency FX trading platform used by leading global banks, buy-side firms, corporates, and liquidity providers — with direct ownership of the Asia trading session, integrating closely with the London and US teams.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for real-time client support and system monitoring in a fast-paced, time-critical environment. Beyond platform operations, this role serves as a key liaison between a broad range of external stakeholders — including global and regional banks, buy-side firms, corporates, and prime brokers — as well as internal business and technology teams, making strong communication and relationship management skills essential.

This is more than a support role. You will have meaningful opportunities to contribute across the full lifecycle of projects, directly shaping the success of the team and the wider business. For someone who values operational excellence and wants to build deep expertise in electronic FX markets, this is an outstanding platform to do so.

Role Considerations include:

Trading Desk & Client Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for inbound client enquiries via phone and email during the Asia trading session providing level one, real-time support across trading, connectivity, and market data
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client issues related to APIs (e.g. FIX, ITCH), trading behaviour, and platform functionality with speed and accuracy
  • Clearly document issues, actions taken, and outcomes to support internal tracking and transparent client communication

Operational Readiness & Monitoring

  • Perform daily and weekly pre-market system health checks, including early Sunday market start procedures to ensure platform readiness ahead of the Asia session
  • Proactively monitor trading, market data, and system dashboards throughout the session, identifying, triaging, and escalating operational or technical issues with precision
  • Maintain rigorous handover discipline to ensure clean, consistent transitions across global regions

Trading & Liquidity Support

  • Monitor market integrity, including crossed/off-market conditions and value-date issues, escalating promptly where required
  • Liaise with liquidity providers, sales, and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve trading or flow-related issues
  • Support new client onboarding activities, including certification testing and production readiness checks

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a key liaison between clients, sales, technology, and operations teams, bridging communication across internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and the development of operational best practices
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects supporting platform stability, resilience, and client experience

Coverage Model

  • Asia trading session coverage aligned to standard market hours (subject to change).
  • Flexibility to support extended hours during incidents or heightened client activity
  • Participation in holiday and weekend coverage rotation as required.
  • Asia trading session: 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM ET
  • Sunday start: 4:30 PM ET
  • Hybrid (4 days in-office per week)

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 0–2 years' experience in a trading, financial services, or technical support environment
  • Basic familiarity with electronic trading, financial markets, or exchange-traded products; a genuine interest in FX markets and market infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Windows; exposure to Linux, command-line tools, or networking concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a vigorous desire to learn Cboe FX technology and develop into a subject matter expert
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, professional client-facing support under pressure
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment

You’ll really stand out with:

  • Familiar with networking fundamentals and debugging tools
  • Proficiency with SQL.
  • Familiar with JIRA or another ticketing system.
  • Familiar with FIX protocol and low latency trading systems.
  • Some shell scripting and Linux performance analysis.
