As an Associate in the Trade and Working Capital- Product Solution Delivery team, you will be instrumental in supporting the Export Agency Finance business & Portfolio Management (Risk Distribution) in APAC. Key activities include handling end-to-end client implementation and seamless deal execution. Our global clients are increasingly focused on the effectiveness of Trade Finance providers in delivering and executing solutions that aid in the support of their businesses and working capital objectives. Your role will also involve enhancing the client experience through a continual review of end-to-end process improvement, tools, and organizational structure to determine what we need to do to make it easier to acquire, onboard, and serve clients. Trade and Working Capital team also provides support for Supply Chain Finance, Sales Finance, and Inventory Finance business. The role requires strong knowledge of trade product, web-based solutions and the technical and operational aspects.

Job responsibilities:
  • Support the execution of client mandates for Structured Solutions with key focus on managing of Export Agency Finance (EAF) deals in APAC with Distribution responsibilities.
  • Oversee the Export Agency Finance onboarding, legal contract negotiations, and execution of EAF deals, ensuring a seamless deal execution approach.
  • Manage the system connectivity, testing and client set-up etc. in coordination with J.P. Morgan internal teams. This encompasses coordination with Trade Sales, Credit, Trade Risk, Operations, and Technology, ensuring all implementation tasks and activities are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate with J.P. Morgan internal partners - Portfolio Management, Distribution, Trade Sales, Credit, Trade Operations and Technology, ensuring all ongoing management, tracking, and administration of distributed deals/ transactions & support execution and administration of trade related assets purchased in the secondary market.
  • Establish and maintain a robust framework for monitoring activities following implementation.
  • Ensures that risk-mitigated or purchased deals are correctly reflected in the respective credit and trade systems.
  • Assist in the execution and maintenance of Master Risk Participation Agreements, Insurance Policies, and/ or Guarantees with Banks, Credit Insurers and Multilateral Financial Institutions
  • Provide innovative solutions to meet client needs and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise closely with internal stakeholders in regional/global EAF and Distribution teams to ensure coordinated approach to regional and global programs.
  • Prepare and publish periodic reports and presentations.
  • Contribute to initiatives on system and process enhancement and change management projects.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of experience of relevant Trade Finance in the client implementation, middle or back office functions
  • Experience in Transaction Banking or Trade Finance product will be added advantage.
  • Strong desire to learn all aspects of traditional trade and structured solutions products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Able to communicate and interact effectively with people at all levels.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently to deliver in a timely and accurate manner, strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think flexibly & strategically and learn rapidly.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong work ethic and "can do" attitude.
  • Technological orientation with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with exposure to digital channels and electronic Banking platforms.
  • Project management and attention to detail.
