Cloud & Smart Industries Group (CSIG) is responsible for promoting the company's cloud and industry Internet strategy. Position Overview
With our strong international growth, Tencent Cloud International is now on the lookout for passionate undergraduate or graduate student to join our PaaS SRE Internship. You will be integral to the operation and maintenance of PaaS components, such as containers and databases, within overseas regions. Working closely with experienced SRE professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience in deploying, monitoring, and optimizing cloud infrastructure. Your role will involve troubleshooting issues, implementing automation tools, and contributing to the seamless functioning of our cloud services. This internship provides a unique opportunity to apply your skills in Linux, Java, and database management while learning from industry experts and contributing to the advancement of cloud technology.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the maintenance and operation of IaaS/PaaS components such as containers and databases.
- Participating in deployment and monitoring activities to ensure the reliability and performance of cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.
- Contributing to the implementation of automation tools and processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Final-year undergraduates / graduate students in Computer Science or related fields.
- Ability to commit for 6 months' full-time or weekly 3-day part-time internship.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and a strong interest in SRE practices.
- Proficiency in Linux operating system and familiarity with Java language. Prior experience working on Java projects.
- Good understanding with at least one type of database.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese Mandarin, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Open-minded, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Cloud certifications and prior experience in cloud operations are advantageous but not mandatory.
