The Technology Governance Manager plays a critical role in establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organisation’s IT governance framework. This role ensures that IT practices are aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The position encompasses governance framework design, audit and regulatory coordination, risk management, assurance activities, and performance monitoring to strengthen control effectiveness and governance maturity.

Governance Framework & Policy Management

  • Design, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures aligned with organizational strategy and regulatory expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Group policies and standards and bring upon best practices / industry standards.
  • Provide governance oversight of Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) domains, including policy compliance, control effectiveness, and risk posture.

Audit, Assurance & Regulatory Coordination

  • Facilitate and coordinate internal and external audits, including review of audit submissions and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate and manage regulatory inspections, including submission of required information and artefacts.
  • Perform regular assurance checks to assess governance effectiveness and compliance with internal policies and external requirements.

Risk Management & Remediation

  • Identify IT governance risks and conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to IT processes, systems, and controls.
  • Ensure audit findings, observations, and self-identified gaps are registered in the Risk Register and tracked to timely and quality closure.
  • Develop and monitor remediation plans to address control gaps and governance weaknesses.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor IT governance effectiveness and improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports on audit status, risk posture, governance performance, and remediation progress for senior management.

Stakeholder Engagement, Training & Awareness

  • Engage stakeholders across IT and business units to ensure alignment of governance initiatives with business needs.
  • Conduct training sessions, briefings, and awareness activities to promote IT governance best practices and compliance culture.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in IT Security related such as CISSP or CISM is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT governance, audit coordination, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO/IEC 27001).
  • Proven experience in managing audits, regulatory engagements, and remediation activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools is an advantage.
