DESCRIPTION Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Product Specialist III supporting the Measurement Control and Sample Identification (MCS) Business Unit, where you'll contribute to revenue growth and customer success through technical sales expertise with a focus on safety, security, and radiation solutions. You'll represent our portfolio of scientific instruments and solutions in the MCS space, working closely with customers to understand their needs around radiation detection, safety protocols, and security applications. You'll deliver effective solutions that enable them to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a technical advisor specializing in safety, security, and radiation technologies, you'll develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts while providing technical expertise across the sales cycle. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and technical support to implement sales strategies and deliver exceptional customer experiences in the safety and security sector. REQUIREMENTS • Master's degree plus 5 years of technical sales experience in relevant scientific instrumentation, laboratory products, or life sciences industry, with preference for experience in safety, security, or radiation detection technologies • Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Science or related discipline • Deep technical knowledge of assigned product portfolio and applications, specifically in measurement control, sample identification, radiation detection, and safety/security instrumentation • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements in safety and security environments • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with ability to explain complex technical concepts related to radiation and safety technologies • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills • Travel requirements of 25-50% within assigned territory • Proficiency in English required, additional languages valued • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills • Ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape in the safety, security, and radiation detection sectors • Experience delivering technical demonstrations and training for safety and security applications
