Job Description: 

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Presales Consultant to join our team, focusing on IT Observability, Monitoring, and AIOps. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of IT Observability and Monitoring solutions and AIOps, with hands-on experience with key technologies such as Elastic Observability, IBM, and SolarWinds. This role is essential for guiding our clients through the implementation and optimization of monitoring and observability solutions, and for tailoring the right scope of work for services engagement to enhance their IT operations and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Demonstrate deep expertise in IT Observability, Monitoring, and AIOps solutions, including platforms such as Elastic Observability, IBM Observability solutions, and SolarWinds.

    • Provide advanced guidance on how these solutions can address customer needs, integrate with existing environments, and enhance IT monitoring capabilities.

  • Customer Engagement:

    • Engage with customers to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and pain points related to IT operations, monitoring, and observability.

    • Conduct detailed assessments and translate business requirements into technical solutions using observability, monitoring, and AIOps tools.

  • Solution Design:

    • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations showcasing the capabilities and benefits of observability, monitoring, and AIOps technologies.

    • Create detailed technical proposals, including solution architecture diagrams and deployment strategies, tailored to customer needs and the defined scope of work.

  • Pre-Sales Support:

    • Collaborate with sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.

    • Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs with detailed technical responses and solution outlines focused on monitoring, observability, and AIOps.

  • Proof of Concept (PoC):

    • Lead and manage PoCs, including planning, execution, and validation, ensuring that solutions meet customer expectations and deliver tangible value.

  • Scope of Work (SoW) Development:

    • Tailor the scope of work for services engagements by defining project deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements based on customer needs and technical assessments.

    • Develop comprehensive statements of work (SoWs) that outline the objectives, deliverables, and timelines for IT monitoring and observability projects.

    • Depending on complexity of project, may be expected to chip in for project implementation (on case by case basis).

  • Training & Enablement:

    • Provide training and support to internal teams and customers on observability, monitoring, and AIOps solutions, ensuring effective adoption and utilization.

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape related to IT monitoring and observability.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback and influence the development of future product features and enhancements.

    • Share insights and success stories with the broader team to drive continuous improvement in monitoring and observability solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 3- 5 years of experience in presales, solutions engineering, or technical consultancy roles with a focus on IT Observability, Monitoring, and AIOps.

    • Proven experience with SolarWinds, including hands-on implementation and configuration.

    • Experience with Elastic Observability, IBM Observability solutions, or equivalent will be advantageous

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and observability and monitoring principles.

    • Experience with monitoring, logging, and AIOps tools and platforms, including their configuration and integration.

    • Proficiency in defining and tailoring scopes of work for services engagements that enhance visibility, performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Customer-focused mindset with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.

Additional Information:

  • Local travel may be required for customer meetings, demonstrations, and events.

  • This role may involve working with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
