As a Technical Project Manager II in CTO Office, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and enhance the firm's technological capabilities. You will leverage your broad knowledge of technical principles and practices to develop innovative solutions, while effectively managing resources, budgets, and cross-functional teams. Your analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and embrace change. By fostering productive relationships with stakeholders and clients, you will contribute to the firm's overall growth and success. Your excellent communication skills and ability to influence others will be crucial in driving mutually beneficial outcomes and managing risks in line with the firm's policies and practices.
Job responsibilities
- Oversee and manage program projects, ensuring high-quality delivery within scope, on time, and on budget.
- Develop and implement governance and control measures for program financials, including business case development, forecasting, and understanding P&L and depreciation.
- Maintain project alignment with strategic goals by escalating decisions to executive sponsors when necessary.
- Organize and lead the design and development of the program, ensuring adherence to risk management strategies and guidelines.
- Oversee requirements documentation and set targets accordingly, ensuring resources such as project teams, vendors, and consultants are identified and secured.
- Effectively detect and resolve project issues, supervising the project management team to ensure adherence to project management standards and rigor.
- Act as the primary communication channel to executive sponsors and project stakeholders, conducting regular briefings and status updates.
- Serve as the single point of contact for project-level issues, questions, and escalations, partnering with key stakeholders to identify project inter-dependencies and address constraints affecting project delivery.
- Manage budget and financial aspects, including business case completion and evaluation of the impact on Total Cost of Ownership for multiple simultaneous, complex projects.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
- 2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in IT Project Management, leading projects across diverse technologies and functions such as transaction and risk management within a large organization.
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to build productive relationships and influence decision-making across geographically distributed and culturally diverse teams.
- Advanced experience in utilizing technical fluency, including strong knowledge of industry-standard project management tools and methodologies, to facilitate effective financial and project reporting.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar projects with high complexity and client focus, ensuring high-quality delivery on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to address complex issues, ensuring alignment with banking regulatory, compliance, risk, and security requirements.
- Extensive experience in Scrum Agile Project Management, capable of advancing product development teams in adopting Agile, Scrum, and Kanban practices.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with peers and broader technology teams to ensure successful project deliveries.
- Ability to listen, analyze, influence, negotiate, and use judgment to solve complex issues and achieve project goals.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Scrum Master, Advanced Agile Certification, PMI ACP or Scrum Alliance Certification preferred
