Job description:

Part-Time Recruiter – Remote

Medical Departures Inc.

Job Type: Part-time Independent Contractor
Location: Remote
Schedule: 25 hours per week
Compensation: USD 500 per month
Probation: 60 days

About the Role

Medical Departures is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Recruiter to support our global hiring needs.

You will manage the recruitment process from sourcing and screening through assessments, reference checks and hiring recommendations. We are not looking for someone who simply reviews applications or schedules interviews. We need someone who can identify qualified candidates, verify their experience and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.

You will recruit for positions including Sales, Accounts Receivable, Partnerships, Operations, Finance and other remote roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with hiring managers to understand the position, success expectations and non-negotiable requirements.
  • Create structured screening questions and candidate scorecards.
  • Source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, referrals, social media, professional groups and direct outreach.
  • Target candidates from relevant companies and industries instead of relying only on general job applications.
  • Review applications and conduct structured screening interviews.
  • Verify candidates’ individual targets, results, workload, achievements and reasons for leaving.
  • Coordinate practical assessments, mock calls and role-specific exercises.
  • Evaluate candidates using consistent scoring criteria.
  • Complete professional reference checks before an offer is made.
  • Present clear candidate recommendations, including strengths, concerns, risks and areas to verify.
  • Communicate interview updates and next steps to candidates.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in Zoho Recruit and Google Sheets.
  • Track sourcing results, interview conversion, rejection reasons and offer declines.
  • Escalate recruitment challenges when compensation, schedule or job requirements do not match the available market.
  • Follow up with hiring managers regarding new-hire performance to improve future hiring decisions.

What Success Looks Like

  • Hiring managers receive qualified candidates who meet the agreed requirements.
  • Candidate recommendations are supported by measurable evidence.
  • Assessments and scorecards are applied consistently.
  • Candidate records are accurate and updated on time.
  • Recruitment problems and delays are communicated early.
  • Sourcing efforts produce qualified candidates—not just a high number of applications.
  • The recruiter works independently and follows through without repeated reminders.
