The System Analyst will support IT application development and infrastructure setup, coordinate with vendors, manage user testing, and collaborate on system changes.
Responsibilities
- Work as a System Analyst supporting IT application development, maintenance, delivery, and infrastructure setup.
- Apply both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) methodologies for end-to-end project execution.
- Understand user and stakeholder requirements; translate them into functional and technical design documents.
- Coordinate with vendors on specifications, delivery testing, and implementation activities.
- Support implementation of middle-office and back-office systems for Group Retail (PB).
- Manage end-to-end user testing, ensuring smooth integration with vendor and internal UOB systems.
- Collaborate with Change Control Management teams for deployment and rollout of system changes.
- Work closely with internal infrastructure and security teams to support system implementations.
- Coordinate with vendors and Infrastructure teams on infra-related upgrades, patches, and changes; provide on-site support for infra projects and Change Requests (CRs).
- Partner with DevOps teams to migrate applications and services into the DevOps ecosystem.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Approximately 7 years of working experience, including at least 6 years in software development, system/business analysis, or project/change implementation within the financial industry.
- Direct exposure to AI/ML-related projects is required.
- Proven experience in analyzing and implementing banking applications across multiple entities.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience upgrading/migrating end-of-life platforms to modern technology stacks.
- Hands-on experience with data center operations for infrastructure upgrades, patches, and infrastructure-related changes.
- Strong technical background with solid understanding of SDLC and technical documentation standards.
- Experience handling full lifecycle system implementations—from pre-project planning to Go-Live.
- Experience working alongside security, network, infrastructure provisioning, and architecture teams.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and SaaS implementation.
- Familiarity with interfaces, batch processing, IBM MQ, and related integration technologies.
- Experience in setting up applications on newly provisioned infrastructure (OS, networking, storage, agents, database, Aldon, Control-M, monitoring tools, etc.).
- Experience in environment migration including data restoration and data masking.
- Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and model development lifecycle.
