Job Description

Reporting to the Global Supplier Relations & Training Manager, the primary role of the Supplier Relations & Training Lead is to provide and oversee technical training to internal and external stakeholders. Key deliverables include transferring product and service knowledge, creating new training content for NPI (New Product Introduction), and become the SME (Subject Matter Expert) of Resmed products and services. They also play an important role in managing our relationships with our external service suppliers, ensuring that they remain compliant with Resmed service standards.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities

Onboarding and Training

  • Partner with various teams (i.e. Product Management teams, Product Development and TSV/LTD) to “train the trainer” and create new training content as needed to support NPI (new product introduction) activities

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on the operation, troubleshooting and repair of all Resmed devices

  • Utilize technical acumen to make the best decision possible when creating training materials

  • Engages and creates training strategies to meet business needs for department expansion to include hiring and managing direct reports(trainers)

  • Partner with TSV management in evaluating and approving potential candidates/applicants as part of our external service supplier network

  • Participate in auditing and evaluating current external service suppliers for re-certification

  • Conduct and facilitate technical service training and refresher training classes for Resmed employees, external service suppliers and customers in various modes of delivery, as deemed necessary (i.e. online, remote, in-person, hybrid, etc.)

  • Maintain supervision and control of the classroom, including training records for audit purposes

  • Create and administer assessments for team to measure comprehension and effectiveness of training

  • Maintains the TSV training database regarding all aspects of Resmed external service providers, e.g., training calendar/schedule, training requests, current external service providers and technicians trained, re-certification dues dates, etc.

  • Plan and organize training sessions – create agenda, content, room set-up and other equipment necessary for the session.


Supplier Relations – as part of building and strengthening the service capabilities of our external service network

  • Support the Supplier Relations & Training Manager & team to:

    • Develop and implement initiatives to continuously improve TSV supplier performance and service quality. 

    • Provide guidance and support to TSV suppliers to help them achieve compliance with industry standards and company requirements.  

    • Provide ongoing support to TSV suppliers to address any operational challenges such as inventory management and capacity planning. 

    • Participate in the monitoring of supplier performance through regular assessments and audits and business reviews, ensuring suppliers meet established KPIs and SLAs. 

    • In partnership with the TSV Auditor, ensure an effective supplier audit and compliance program.  

    • In collaboration with TSV suppliers and local TSV teams, develop and drive strategies to improve current processes based on auditor findings and recommendations.  

    • Drive innovation in TSV supplier management practices and explore new or improve existing service capabilities. 

    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between suppliers and internal teams. 

  • Participate in technical operations cross-functional discussions as needed with senior level managers

  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

 

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
