Mission

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, SEAO, the Strategy & Business Development Manager will drive strategic initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering seamless collaboration across the Region and Maisons. The individual will work closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders on strategic and operational projects, gaining unparalleled exposure to executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Executive Strategic Leadership & Advisory

  • Serve as a strategic partner and thought leader to the SEAO CEO, translating vision into actionable strategies and business development plans.

  • Play an integral role within the SEAO RRF leadership team, shaping the regional agenda, defining strategic priorities, and crafting impactful executive communications.

  • Lead the end-to-end preparation of critical executive materials (presentations, internal communications, briefing documents), ensuring clarity, analytical accuracy, and strategic alignment.

  • Orchestrate and manage the region’s engagements with APAC & Global management visits, overseeing agenda, content, logistics, and ensuring a cohesive regional narrative.

  • Deliver sophisticated analytical outputs, market intelligence, and strategic insights to inform critical business decisions, identify growth opportunities, and mitigate risks, providing actionable recommendations.

  • Proactively support the preparation and presentation of SEAO budget proposals and strategic plans to APAC leadership, ensuring financial and strategic alignment.

  • Oversee meticulous preparation and follow-up for Maison and RRF Executive Committee (Exco) meetings and workshops.

2. Wholesale Distribution & Business Development

  • Serve as the Richemont representative on cross-Maison Wholesale matters and as a senior counterpart in navigating and resolving complex retailer situations, mediating conflicts while protecting brand equity and commercial interests.

  • Act as the central SEAO coordinator, fostering cross-Maison collaboration and knowledge sharing on wholesale distribution strategy, commercial positioning, and network planning, including market intelligence and regional reporting for business growth.

  • Provide comprehensive support and rigorous follow-up on the regional wholesale distribution strategy for Watch Maisons, encompassing multi-year planning, partner portfolio governance, and new market development across SEAO.

  • Collaborate closely with FP&A on the financial evaluation and performance review of the wholesale network, providing strategic insights and recommendations for business development.

3. Operational Excellence & Project Management

  • Drive the execution of key strategic initiatives and business development projects identified by the CEO, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies and process improvements within the CEO's office and across regional functions to enhance productivity and effectiveness, particularly for strategic project execution.

  • Act as a central point of contact for cross-functional projects, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and progress tracking.

4. Senior Stakeholder Management & External Engagement

  • Build and maintain high-trust, influential relationships with Maison Managing Directors/Brand Managers/Commercial Directors, regional Function Heads, and other key internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted strategic partner and facilitator.

  • Represent Richemont SEAO in high-level external discussions with key partners, industry associations, and other relevant entities, advocating for regional strategic interests and exploring new business opportunities.

  • Proactively influence and align senior stakeholders across diverse functions and geographies to drive consensus, overcome obstacles, and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives and business development plans.

  • Manage sensitive communications and information flow between the CEO and various internal and external parties, ensuring discretion, clarity, and consistency, particularly concerning strategic partnerships and business development.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a strategic, analytical, or commercial/operational role within a complex, multinational organization, preferably in luxury retail or a related industry, with a focus on business development and Wholesale partnerships.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior executives and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong project management capabilities with a track record of driving initiatives to successful completion.

  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and presentation software.

  • A passion for the luxury industry and a deep understanding of the SEAO market dynamics.
