Job Description

Become a part of dynamic Developer Experience team within Platform Products Technology. The team is committed to ensuring seamless experience for developers by developing, maintaining, and supporting core initiatives that drive daily operations for developers. The vision of team is to empower and streamline engineering teams, enhancing developer efficiency by delivering fast, frequent, secure, and scalable solutions while ensuring a positive developer experience.

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the tools, technologies, frameworks, and processes that boost productivity and efficiency in the software development process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify pain points, propose solutions, and implement cutting-edge technologies that empower developers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Develop: Lead the creation of scalable tools, frameworks, and services that enhance developer experience and streamline the software development lifecycle.

AI Initiatives: Drive AI-related initiatives by exploring, implementing, and integrating AI technologies to enhance development processes and productivity.

Collaborate: Work closely with engineering teams, product development teams, and other stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Innovate: Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies, including AI, and propose innovative solutions to enhance developer productivity.

Mentor: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers in the team, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and an AI learning mindset within the team.

Optimize CI/CD and DevOps: Identify inefficiencies in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes, implementing improvements to optimize performance and scalability.

Drive Best Practices: Promote best practices in software engineering, including code quality, automation, and AI integration.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
Experience or interest in working with GenAI tools , GenAI APIs (OpenAI, Claude etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, Version Control, and Cloud Environments.

Additional Preferred Skills
- Familiarity or experience with AI agent frameworks.
- Passion for developer-centric innovation and creative problem solving.
