Team
As a team, we are Silicon Valley veterans who previously created category-defining data and AI products loved by thousands of companies worldwide. We have experienced the journey of a small startup to IPO very closely. We have started on a similar journey again and are backed by prominent advisors and VC firms with multi-billion dollar portfolios.
What are we looking for?
We're in search of a Staff Software Engineer who brings a passion for innovation and problem-solving, not limited to traditional coding. This role is for those with deep expertise in server-side languages, database technologies, and cloud infrastructure, excited to design and build the backbone of our AI solutions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our AI capabilities, developing high-performance back-end systems, and integrating advanced AI into data teams' daily workflows.
Qualifications:
Required:

10+ years of experience building Python-based web application backends and the infrastructure on which they run

Extensive experience in building scalable back-end systems, APIs, and microservices

Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Preferred:

Experience with FastAPI for building high-performance APIs

Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, particularly in the context of Large Language Models (LLMs)

Strong proficiency in SQL, including query profiling, optimization, and performance tuning

Experience with SQL Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) analysis and working with SQL parsers (e.g., sqlglot)
