Job Description:
- Responsible for the system testing of Rockwell Automation product, components, and systems. As a System Test Engineer, you will have the opportunity to become an expert with new Rockwell products during their development before they reach any user.
- Responsible to technically lead the test planning, test design, test commissioning and test execution utilizing analysis skills and automation framework that are unique to the industrial automation problem and – in some cases – unlike processes used anywhere else in the industry.
- Define and build system test environments that ensure the robustness and system’s stability of Rockwell product capabilities in all product families including PLC Controller, IO’s , Switch and others industrial automation peripherals.
- State of the art troubleshooting and debug techniques are a focus of the system test team – you will learn to deploy and utilize the different type of real-time firmware debugging equipment and tools available today.
- A key player in ensuring that developed products are robust, defect free, meet performance requirements, and are within total quality management standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or others Engineering degree) or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and expertise in Test Engineering processes (Agile, continuous integration, waterfall) and methods for test case design and test coverage optimization.
- Experience/knowledge of industrial automation and PLC application. PLC ladder programming experience.
- Familiarity with Rockwell products, with IO’s, controller’s families, and RSLogix5000/500 Application Software will be advantageous.
- Knowledge and expertise in Test automation methodologies. Programming experience in scripting languages will be advantageous (preferably Python)
- 5 or more years of experience in Test engineering, System Integrator or Field Service work.
