Job Description
Staff Regional Manufacturing Engineer (RME)
This role plays a pivotal part in advancing our transformation toward a digitally enabled, future-ready manufacturing environment. Based in the Singapore plant and supporting regional operations, the Staff Regional Manufacturing Engineer (RME) leads and supports strategic initiatives aligned with our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) mission and vision. The role focuses on driving process standardization, automation integration, and continuous improvement, while collaborating across functions to deliver results in margin expansion, agility, scalable growth, and innovation showcases for both our customers and our company.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Technical
- Lead the development, standardization, and governance of manufacturing processes across RA plants in AP, with a focus on digital transformation and automation.
- Evaluate and implement advanced manufacturing technologies including AI, robotics, smart sensors, and digital twins.
- Support the design and deployment of autonomous and data-driven systems that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate DFM/DFA and PFMEA analyses to ensure robust and scalable product and process designs.
- Initiate and lead capital projects aligned with breakthrough objectives and supply chain transformation levers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize end-to-end processes from design to delivery.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Champion a continuous improvement culture using Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and agile methodologies.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, ergonomics, quality, and productivity.
- Contribute to the development of smart manufacturing strategies and digital work instructions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, SSO, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Actively participate in strategic planning and execution of ISC initiatives.
- Support innovation showcases by demonstrating cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.
- Apply advanced technical and digital skills to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and process optimization.
- Demonstrate understanding the role of technology in business transformation.
- Recognize barriers and proactively develop solutions to overcome them.
- Maintain a strong focus on value-added activities and customer-centric outcomes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or automation engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within a multinational environment.
- Proven track record in digital manufacturing, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with DFMA, Lean Six Sigma, project management, and smart factory technologies.
- Familiarity with advanced tools such as IoT, AI/ML, digital twins, and cloud platforms.
- Willingness to travel (10–15%), including international assignments.
