Staff Enterprise Applications Developer (CPQ Focus)
We are seeking an experienced Staff Enterprise Applications Developer with deep expertise in Salesforce CPQ, technical integrations, and Salesforce platform development. This individual will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and our Salesforce admin team to optimize quote-to-cash processes, automate workflows, and enhance cross-system integrations that support our growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and enhance Salesforce CPQ, including configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and deployment across environments.
- Design and manage advanced configurations of products, price rules, quote templates, approval workflows, and contract management processes.
- Support the full CPQ transaction lifecycle of land, expand, renew, and amend, including subscription and usage-based products.
- Develop custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and REST/SOAP APIs to meet evolving business needs.
- Lead system integrations between Salesforce and key business platforms (e.g., Salesloft, Marketo, Clari, Omni, n8n) using APIs or middleware.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient Salesforce solutions.
- Implement and manage data governance, security, and access controls, ensuring integrity across objects and integrations.
- Utilize best practices in deployment and maintain sandbox management processes.
- Develop and execute unit tests and regression testing to ensure code quality and reliable releases.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and process maps.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements to workflows, automation, and system performance.
- Develop, customize, and integrate Salesforce solutions by leveraging AI and machine learning capabilities to enhance business processes and user experiences.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, with hands-on expertise in Salesforce CPQ configuration and customization.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, data model, and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder, Apex Triggers).
- Demonstrated ability to own and manage integrations between Salesforce and external business systems.
- Experience with quote-to-cash processes, including quoting, contracting, billing, and renewals.
- Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and API development.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business discussions.
- Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can execute with limited direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist
- Salesforce Platform Developer I or II
- Experience with Gearset, Copado, or other deployment tools
- Familiarity with consumption or usage-based pricing models
