Ensure and improve the availability of a trading platform through management and monitoring of trading activities, incident handling, and development of observability metrics.
Responsibilities:
The main responsibility is to ensure and improve the availability of our trading binary:
- Operational management of trading activities, proactive trading monitoring;
- Incident management, rapid escalation, and mitigation;
- On-call duty (we expect you to be on duty while the team in Europe is asleep)
- Debugging and issue classification;
- Developing observability metrics and trading analytics;
- Staying informed (reading financial and technical news, monitoring exchange newsletters).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (CS, engineering, physics, math, etc.);
- 5+ years of experience in an SRE role;
- Programming skills (Python/Go preferred);
- Strong working knowledge of Unix systems;
- Ability to deploy, configure, and administer Linux-based servers (Docker, K8s, Grafana);
- Ability to identify areas for platform improvement in a complex technical environment;
- Excellent communication skills, with experience interfacing with both internal and external clients;
- Proficiency in English (B2/Upper-Intermediate or higher);
- Willingness to dive into a new domain area.
