About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Strategy Consultant to join the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Strategy team. The team works directly with CIB senior leadership to shape and drive the firm's most important strategic priorities across Banking, Markets, Commercial Real Estate (CRE), and enterprise-level initiatives. The team partners closely with business heads and senior stakeholders to evaluate growth opportunities, allocate capital, manage risk, and improve returns across the franchise.
We are seeking a high-performing Strategy Consultant to join the CIB Strategy team. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in top-tier management consulting and/or investment banking, private credit, or private equity who are looking to operate at the center of decision-making within a leading global financial institution.
The Consultant will support strategy development and execution across a wide range of topics, including business growth, portfolio and capital allocation decisions, operating model evolution, and cross-LOB initiatives. The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to have direct impact on the direction of the CIB.
In this role, you will:
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$120,000.00 - $196,000.00

The Consultant will support strategy development and execution across a wide range of topics, including business growth, portfolio and capital allocation decisions, operating model evolution, and cross-LOB initiatives. In this role, you will:
- Partner with CIB senior leadership to define, evaluate, and execute strategic priorities across Banking, Markets, CRE, and Enterprise initiatives.
- Conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decisions related to growth strategy, capital deployment, risk appetite, and returns optimization.
- Develop clear, concise, executive-ready materials for senior leadership, including presentations for management committees, operating reviews, and board-level discussions.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders, finance, risk, and other stakeholders to translate strategy into executable initiatives.
- Support critical initiatives such as portfolio reviews, new business assessments, M&A evaluation, and cross-LOB coordination efforts.
- Synthesize insights from internal performance data, market analysis, and external benchmarks to inform leadership decision-making.
- Manage workstreams independently while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
- 4+ years of Strategy and Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Undergraduate or graduate degrees in analytic fields (e.g., Economics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).
- Top-tier management consulting (e.g., McKinsey, Bain, BCG), and / or Investment Banking, Private Credit, and / or Private Equity experience.
- Bachelor's degree from a top academic institution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex issues and develop clear, actionable insights.
- Demonstrated experience building high-quality, senior-level presentations and written communications.
- Comfort working with senior stakeholders and navigating cross-functional teams.
- Strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a bias toward impact and execution.
- Position will require onsite presence at the required location listed below in a hybrid work schedule.
- Flexibility to support global teams across time zones.
