Introduction

The Associate Engineer, Reliability Lab supports the execution of semiconductor reliability testing and laboratory operations. This role ensures compliance with quality management systems (QMS), supports test execution, and drives operational excellence in a controlled laboratory environment aligned to industry standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Reliability Testing & Lab Operations
  • Execute reliability test plans (e.g., qualification, process reliability monitoring, engineering evaluations)

  • Prepare test samples, set up test equipment, and ensure accurate test execution

  • Monitor and maintain test conditions, ensuring data integrity and traceability

  • Troubleshoot test and equipment-related issues with guidance from engineers

2. Quality Management System (QMS) Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ISO 17025, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and records

  • Maintain proper documentation control, including procedures, test records, and work instructions

  • Contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) where necessary

3. Laboratory Operations & Maintenance
  • Ensure reliability lab operations meet safety, ESD, and housekeeping requirements

  • Support equipment calibration, maintenance, and uptime management

  • Coordinate with vendors for equipment servicing and troubleshooting

  • Maintain adherence to lab control processes and operational guidelines

4. Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and verify reliability test data for accuracy and completeness

  • Generate reports and summaries of test results for engineering review

  • Support development of dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI – good to have)

5. Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
  • Identify opportunities to improve lab efficiency, cycle time, and process robustness

  • Work closely with reliability engineers, process engineers, and cross-functional teams

  • Support implementation of automation, digitalization, or data analytics initiatives

Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline

Experience
  • 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or equivalent

  • Prior experience working in a semiconductor reliability or testing laboratory is required

Technical & Functional Skills
  • Strong understanding of reliability test concepts and semiconductor processes

  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS), including:

    • ISO 17025

    • IATF 16949

    • ISO 9001

  • Experience with lab equipment operation, calibration, and troubleshooting

  • Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting

Preferred (Good-to-Have)
  • Knowledge of data analytics or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

  • Exposure to reliability stress tests (e.g., HCI, TDDB, BTI)

  • Experience in measurement system analysis (MSA) or lab accreditation processes
