About the role
The Solutions Engineering Manager is a crucial role dedicated to driving the technical direction of new build and redevelopment projects across the APAC region through implementation of new technologies and innovative problem-solving. This role engages directly with internal stakeholders and is responsible for guiding external teams in projects from land acquisition through to conceptual design and permit application.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement scalable and effective technological solutions.
- Review and maintain technical intelligence of customer requirements and local competitor facilities.
- Research new technologies and engage with manufacturers to keep up to date with product development and industry trends.
- Maintain a focus on sustainable design principles and opportunities to improve built environments and operational efficiencies.
- Analyse different technical solutions particularly related to power & cooling infrastructure against efficiency, operability, TCO and design complexity parameters.
- Work closely with the pre-construction team regarding the design, construction, and progress of the works to ensure design improvements are incorporated into future proposals.
- Lead technical presentations illustrating design strategy and proposals.
- Review equipment and system selections to promote solutions optimised for operational efficiency and low embodied carbon.

Key Requirements:
- Extensive experience in mechanical engineering design for data centres and or technical leadership role
- Experience of delivering designs in multiple geographic markets.
- Proficient in the use of, engineering software and MS Office programmes.
- Competent at presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Must be able to operate in an open management style and structure with an emphasis on multi-national team working.
