POSITION OVERVIEW

The Solutions Engineer (SE), Government Sector in Singapore will be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and public sector customers and prospects. As a Trend AI product expert, you will guide government agencies and statutory boards in the selection and deployment of Trend AI Next-Gen security solutions, taking joint ownership with the Sales team in developing customer relationships, providing leadership in security architecture, and helping influence customers' technical strategy with strong problem-solving skills. This role requires a deep understanding of government procurement processes, data sovereignty requirements, and public sector security compliance frameworks. A Solutions Engineer is a trusted advisor to government customers, developing an understanding of their mission-critical needs, risk tolerance, regulatory obligations, and technology gaps.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand the government customer journey — from tender/RFP stage through onboarding to ongoing product experience — and help agencies navigate it smoothly

  • Obsessed with customer success throughout the entire engagement lifecycle with government stakeholders, including onboarding and long-term product adoption

  • Support the sales organisation with deep knowledge of government tender processes, compliance requirements, and procurement cycles; be an excellent storyteller who helps the sales team communicate effectively with public sector buyers

  • Understand the emerging ecosystem of government-approved cybersecurity partners, including SOC service partners, cloud service partners (CSPs) accredited for government use, and MSSPs

  • Leverage and enable channel partners serving the government sector through training and upskilling on customer engagement

  • Conduct routine updates on new products/technology to internal sales staff supporting government accounts

  • Work closely with Regional/Global Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager to stay current on product and technology developments relevant to public sector requirements

  • Confidently deliver technical demonstrations tailored to government stakeholders, highlighting Trend AI's advantages in meeting regulatory, compliance, and security assurance needs

  • Support and empower partners and channels in proposing, positioning, and convincing government customers on Trend AI's solutions

  • Present complex technical issues and solutions to stakeholders at all levels of a government organisation — from technical officers to senior leadership — in a clear, engaging, and digestible manner

  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to design solutions that address government-specific requirements, including data residency, on-premises/air-gapped deployment, and regulatory compliance

  • Develop close relationships with government technical teams and decision-makers to help influence their technical security strategy

  • Deliver training to government customers and prospects on Trend AI solutions

  • Work with internal technical support teams to ensure ongoing quality of support and customer health for government accounts

  • Contribute to departmental best practices, strategies, methodologies, and documentation, with attention to public sector-specific processes

  • Continuously maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and participate in relevant technical and government security communities of interest

  • Participate in webinars, workshops, and industry events (including government/public sector security forums) as a speaker or panelist; strong public speaking skills are an advantage

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8 years of experience delivering high-quality presales support and solutions, bringing unique value to customers, ideally with exposure to government or public sector accounts

  • Familiarity with government procurement frameworks, tender/RFP processes, and public sector security compliance requirements (e.g., data sovereignty, on-premises/air-gapped deployment considerations) is highly advantageous

  • Good understanding and knowledge of SOC operations, security analytics capabilities, cloud architecture, cloud-native application security, SASE, CASB, and Zero Trust models will be a key advantage

  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft O365, Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS services — including government/sovereign cloud offerings where applicable — will be an added advantage

  • Exposure to security software solutions such as firewall, content security, intrusion prevention, encryption, data leakage, data protection, and monitoring security will be an added advantage

  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English

  • A strong interest in all aspects of cybersecurity and a genuine passion for protecting government and public sector customers

  • Good understanding of public cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, including their government/sovereign cloud variants where relevant
