About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer to join the OEX Mobile Growth team in Singapore.

The team operates at the intersection of mobile engineering, consumer growth, and product development. You will work closely with Product, Business Development, and regional market teams to build and improve growth initiatives that directly influence user acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention.

This role is suited to an engineer who enjoys solving user-facing problems, working with data, and contributing ideas beyond implementation. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects from problem definition through launch, measurement, and iteration.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design, build, test, and maintain reliable mobile growth features and supporting systems.
  • Contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, from understanding business and user problems to implementation, launch, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Develop and optimise growth capabilities such as onboarding funnels, referral programmes, acquisition journeys, engagement mechanics, notifications, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Business Development, data teams, and regional stakeholders to translate growth objectives into practical engineering solutions.
  • Instrument user journeys and analyse relevant metrics to identify friction points and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in technical discussions, evaluate trade-offs, and contribute proposals based on engineering principles, user impact, and data.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and problem-solving.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while contributing to code reviews and engineering best practices.
  • For senior-level hires, independently lead projects, guide technical decisions, and support the development of other engineers.

What We Look For In You
  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience, with greater depth and independent project ownership expected at the Senior Software Engineer level.
  • Hands-on experience developing production mobile applications using iOS technologies such as Swift or Objective-C, or Android technologies such as Kotlin or Java.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, system design, testing, debugging, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience building consumer-facing products, with an understanding of how engineering decisions affect user experience and business outcomes.
  • Product and data instincts: you are comfortable thinking in terms of user journeys, funnels, conversion, retention, and measurable impact.
  • Ability to take ownership of engineering tasks and work effectively with product and business stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset: you identify problems, form a point of view, and propose practical ways forward.
  • Experience using AI coding tools as part of your development workflow, together with the judgment to review, test, and validate AI-generated outputs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

Nice-To-Haves
  • Mobile development experience in iOS (Swift/Objective-C) or Android (Kotlin/Java) — or backend experience building growth systems that serve mobile apps directly (e.g. growth APIs, attribution pipelines, notification infrastructure).
  • Depth in mobile attribution and MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust, SKAdNetwork).
  • ASO operational experience (App Store Connect, Google Play Console).
  • Experience building referral systems, k-factor mechanics, or anti-fraud layers.
  • Background in fintech, crypto, or regulated consumer financial products.
  • Experience operating across US, EEA, and APAC markets.
  • A/B experiment framework ownership at meaningful scale.

Perks & Benefits
  • Competitive total compensation package
  • L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
  • Various team building programs and company events
  • Wellness and meal allowances
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
  • More that we love to tell you along the process!
