Together, we’re shaping the future by enabling customers to make pivotal decisions that safeguard communities and power progress.The Software Engineer is part of the Program & Performance Management team within the Manufacturing Competence Center (MCC), supporting digitalization initiatives for manufacturing operations.
Under the guidance of the Senior Software Engineer, this role contributes to the development, maintenance, and support of software solutions within the scope of Industry 4.0 and digital transformation, while building strong technical foundations and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable and user‑centric solutions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for solutions related to Industry 4.0, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and related applications.
- Contribute to software development tasks including coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of new and existing applications.
- Elicit and document software requirements by translating operational and manufacturing needs into implementable system specifications.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, cybersecurity and IT teams to deliver user-centric solutions compliant to cybersecurity standards.
- Support local users involving Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) with regards to on-site first level support.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for operational teams.
- Support DevOps and deployment activities for in‑house developed software.
- Assist in maintaining on‑premise application infrastructure by performing basic monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational tasks.
Job Requirements:
Education Level, Qualifications and Certifications:
- Diploma or B.S in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field.
Experience Level:
- Preferably 1 - 3 years’ experience in full-stack (backend/frontend) development.
- Relevant working experience in manufacturing environment will be a huge plus.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Hands-on experience with full stack web development using proven frameworks.
- Strong software development fundamentals with proficiency of at least 1 programming language
- Prior experience with RPA platforms (e.g. UiPath) is a plus.
- Good communication & presentation skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders to drive aligned outcomes.
- Preferred programming languages but not limited to: PHP, C#, Python and VBA.
- Experience with enterprise-grade dashboard and visualization tools: Power BI, Grafana, Tableau.
