Exciting career opportunity to join the AutoCAD Engineering team in Autodesk Singapore Research & Development Centre, contributing to the quality and reliability of next-generation AutoCAD family products. As a Software Engineer in Test, you will work closely with product owners, software engineers, architects, UX teams, and business stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle, leveraging modern AI-powered development and testing workflows to ensure product quality. You will apply software engineering principles, automation, and AI-assisted quality engineering techniques to validate functionality, API compatibility, stability, performance, and customer workflows across AutoCAD family products.
As a quality advocate, you will help improve engineering efficiency and product quality through automation, intelligent testing practices, and continuous innovation.
Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with developers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Design test strategies, create test plans, and execute manual and automated tests to validate new features and product workflows
Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for unit, functional, API, integration, and end-to-end validation
Build and enhance automation frameworks, tools, and testing infrastructure
Estimate, plan, schedule, and coordinate software testing tasks. Execute test plans to validate the quality of product features
Use AI tools to generate and improve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts
Review and validate AI-generated code, tests, and specifications for quality and correctness
Participate in SDD, TDD, and AI-assisted software development workflows
Perform API, performance, interoperability, and code coverage testing
Investigate defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate on issue resolution
Continuously improve engineering productivity, testing practices, and product quality
Join Beta programs, QA driven customer events, including mass testing efforts such as test fests
Research in software testing types, methods and emerging technologies and tools
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree (in Computer Science or other engineering discipline.) with excellent academic background or work experience
0 – 2 years of experience in software development, software testing, quality engineering, or related areas
Strong programming and problem-solving skills
Experience with one or more of C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages
Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar coding assistants
Basic understanding of software quality assurance principles, software testing methodologies, and software development lifecycle practices
Familiarity with automated testing concepts and test automation frameworks
Understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Generative AI for test case generation, test automation development, defect analysis, or quality engineering workflows
Experience developing or maintaining automated testing frameworks
Experience with API testing, integration testing, performance testing, or end-to-end automation
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices
Experience developing third-party applications for AutoCAD using ObjectARX
Knowledge of AutoCAD family products, CAD software, or related engineering applications
