Job Description

Purpose of the Position

The Director, Finance Operations works closely with the Regional Operation and Commercial Leads and extends the necessary support and guidance to the Hotel teams spread across the assigned region.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Review and analyse monthly hotel reports and forecasts and provide feedback to hotels
  • Lead with the Regional Operation the monthly performance review with the hotels' executive committees and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies
  • Monitor market trends and understand their impact on the strategic plans of the business
  • Assist Operations to maximize revenue opportunities and drive hotel profitability
  • Ensure compliance with the provisions of the management contracts (HMA) signed between the operator and the owner
  • Ensure the implementation of accounting and financial processes in the hotels managed by Accor (accounting, treasury, income audit, cost control, purchasing, inventory management) as well as for hotels opening or taken over
  • Ensure Adhoc review of the Balance Sheet Reconciliations of hotels (audit and action plans)
  • Assist the hotels in implementing corrective actions following internal and external audits
  • Own DSO and hotels credit risk within the Region ensuring operator dues are paid on timely basis
  • Ensure that hotels have efficient finance teams, and support the hotel finance directors to provide training and skills development programs
  • Participate in cross-functional Finance projects in the MEA-APAC region to provide Accor hotels with efficient tools and processes
  • Develop, Empower, and Mentor team members and Dedicate time to identify high potential team members for succession planning purposes

The position will report to the VP Finance Operations for MEAPAC (Based in Dubai). The position can be based in Singapore or Thailand (Bangkok).

  • Able to provide practical solutions to complex operational problems

Experience and Skills

  • Background in Hotel Operation Finance as Country Director of Complex Director
  • Strong Knowledge of Hotel systems such as SUN, Opera, Micros, and Material Control
  • Perfect Knowledge of USALI standards and Common HMA terms & conditions
  • Familiarity with One Stream consolidation and reporting tool is an advantage

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Familiar with GAAP / IFRS standards
