About the role
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes X (Twitter) and has the curiosity to know what’s trending before it hits the timeline. As our Professional Doomscroller, you’ll be the eyes and ears of Manus—spotting conversations we should join, surfacing insights from the AI/startup/tech community, and engaging with people in a way that’s sharp, human, and fun. This role isn’t about posting generic replies. It’s about crafting witty, thoughtful, and context-aware comments that make people stop scrolling and pay attention. You’ll help us build Manus’ voice on X as the “action engine” in AI, while learning how brands grow influence through social listening and community-driven engagement.
What you’ll do
- Monitor X for conversations around AI, startups, productivity, and tech—surfacing the right ones for us to engage in.
- Write and post witty, insightful replies under Manus’ account to amplify our presence and grow our network.
- Track what people are saying about Manus and related products—turning chatter into actionable insights.
- Spot cultural moments, memes, or debates we can join in real-time.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to shape Manus’ tone of voice and engagement strategy.
What you’ll learn
- How to grow a brand on X through community-led engagement.
- The ins and outs of social listening tools and workflows.
- How to translate trends into content and campaigns. - What it takes to build and protect a startup’s reputation online.
What we’re looking for
- You’re online a lot (really, a lot) and you actually enjoy it.
- You understand the cultural nuances of X—tech bros, AI skeptics, VCs, founders, builders, and meme accounts.
- You have a sharp, witty writing style that fits in with internet culture.
- You’re curious, fast, and unafraid to experiment.
- Bonus if you’ve already built an engaged following yourself.
