Job Description

  • Oversees manufacturing and/or production operations Typically performs one or more of the following as manufacturing line management:

  • Manages, oversees, directs and coordinates part of an area, all, or a major segment of the organization's operations in a manufacturing environment/industry, typically including assembly, machinery, processing and/or packaging

  • May Oversee functions that support manufacturing operations, including engineering, supply chain/logistics and purchasing

  • Sets production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources and volume required to meet demand and to ensure maximum production quantity and quality.

  • May formulate policies, forecast requirements for manpower, technology and facilities and develop quality standards 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs    

  • Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.

Job Complexity
First people management level across the organization (Operational Focus).
Resolves standard problems through immediate actions or short term planning within predefined processes.
Coordinates and supervises daily activities
Provides leadership on job content

Manages a team of 2 or more full-time employees, with responsibility for resource allocation, work processes and procedures.
Accountable for people management:

coaches team/ team members
Accountability
Accountable for day-to-day operations of a discrete team.
May be responsible for specific projects spanning multiple teams.
Work is guided by goals and operational objectives for the area within given strategy
Relationship Focus
Subject matter experts and internal customer with focus on operational results
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Requires functional expertise, in-depth business unit knowledge and additional industry or business knowledge.
