Purpose of Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Executive to join the team. The Operations Executive will be responsible for communicating, planning and executing port call planning. Provide professional services that meet/exceed the Principal/ship masters’ expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Port Call Planning / Execution
1. Understand the port call requirements and expectations of the Principal/Ship master
2. Execute port call turnaround most cost-effectively and expeditiously.
3. Closely monitor and update stakeholders on port call progress
4. Ensure Principals’ best interests are always protected.
Effective Communication
1. Concise and timely communication with authorised recipients and stakeholders.
2. This includes but is not limited to routine pre-arrival, progress. port call updates and post-call follow-ups.
Statutory Declarations of a Port Call"
Timely and truthful declarations to relevant government agencies relating to vessel call, not limited to
1. Immigration and Checkpoint Authorities (ICA)
2. Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)
3. Customs and Excise Department
4. National Environment Agency (NEA)
5. Security/Enforcement Agencies
6. Operators / Management of the facility involved
On-Site Coordination :
Physical attendance on board ships or sites when necessary, providing on-site coordination of services and deliveries.
Provide local expert advice:
Keeping abreast of the latest developments in port regulations, industry, and ISS Policies and Procedures.
HSSE/Legal Compliance
Ensure all services provided comply with local regulations/guidelines set out by relevant government agencies and ISS Policies/Procedures
Training:
Timely completion of the training assigned
Utilisation of ISS Systems
Ensure full utilisation of all ISS systems (ONEDA and Optics) according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Required Experience :
At least 1 year of working experience either
In the ship agency service industry with a track record
In the Oil/Gas/Offshore industry
As an Engine or deck cadet
Intermediate Knowledge:
Maritime Operations
Local law and regulations
Local industry knowledge
