Handle broking activities including newbuilding contracts, long-term vessel chartering, sale and purchase transactions. Maintain client relationships, perform sales calls and coordination, work independently, travel to meet clients, and use Microsoft Office for communications and numerical tasks.
We are currently seeking a Shipbroker to join our client team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling broking activities, including newbuilding contracts, vessels chartering on a long-term basis, sale and purchase transactions, and maintaining good business relationships with clients.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A background in shipping or a related field, although candidates from other related fields will also be considered.
- A strong desire to excel in the shipping industry and the motivation to achieve success.
- A quick learning ability with strong numerical skills.
- An enjoyment for traveling and meeting new people.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- The ability to work independently and perform sales calls and coordination tasks.
