Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution of concerns across a range of support services for the assigned region, product, or coverage area.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned product lines, configurations, installations, and the designated geographic region, acting as the direct interface to internal functions supporting the customer.

  • Provide ongoing technical and business support to assigned customers, building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Manage direct reports, including staffing, development, and performance management; utilize technical discipline knowledge and analytical skills to implement policy and strategy.

  • Apply best practices and understand integration with other functional areas, keeping abreast of competitive differentiators in the market.

  • Exercise sound judgment to propose alternative solutions to complex technical and operational challenges, leveraging both internal and external resources to drive decision-making.

  • Mentor colleagues with less experience, lead small-scale projects, and facilitate consensus within the team.

  • Communicate performance expectations clearly and handle sensitive issues professionally.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or related field) or Business Administration from a local or internationally recognised university is essential

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ proven project management experience specifically within the Marine Offshore, Oil & Gas, or General Industrial sectors environment, with a track record of successfully managing service delivery, maintenance, and logistics for complex marine/offshore projects is essential.

  • Technical Expertise: Key to the success of this role is demonstrated hands-on experience with after-sales support, including maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and refurbishment of industrial equipment and Working knowledge of enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Servicemax, and SAP is essential

  • Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication abilities, with experience preparing reports, presenting to senior stakeholders, and managing customer relationships.

  • Teamwork and Independence: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the region and internationally as required by customer and project needs.

  • IT Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis, reporting, and project tracking.

  • Compliance: Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements relevant to marine and offshore service operations.

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with GE equipment and product lines.

  • Direct sales experience or demonstrated customer-facing sales capabilities.

  • Strong customer advocacy skills; ability to balance customer requirements with company capacity and financial objectives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior-level customers, GE executive management, and vessel superintendents.

  • Diplomatic and professional approach to resolving conflicts and handling sensitive issues.

  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

  • Understanding of key financial documents and processes, such as project reviews, invoicing, purchasing (SAP), billing, and trading.

  • Recent graduates with relevant internship or industry experience are encouraged to apply.
