Job Description

The SVP, Treasury Products is responsible for the strategy, governance, and lifecycle management of treasury and FX products across Retail Banking. The role ensures products remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with the Bank's growth objectives while supporting complex client treasury and investment needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive product strategy, development, commercialization, and ongoing management of treasury and FX products.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for FX, bonds, structured products, equities-linked solutions, and precious metals.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, suitability standards, and risk governance frameworks.
  • Lead product approvals, governance reviews, regulatory assessments, and remediation initiatives.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Technology, and Front Office teams to implement product enhancements and controls.
  • Support Relationship Managers and Investment Counsellors on complex client solutions and product structuring.
  • Identify market opportunities and enhance product offerings to drive client acquisition, revenue growth, and wallet share.
  • Monitor product performance, industry trends, and regulatory developments.

Requirements

  • At least 15+ years of experience in Treasury Products, Global Markets, Investments, Wealth Management, or Product Management within banking.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Foreign Exchange (FX)
    • Treasury and liquidity solutions
    • Fixed Income and Bonds
    • Structured Products and Derivatives
    • Product governance and suitability frameworks
    • Regulatory and cross-border marketing requirements
    • Risk management and control frameworks
  • Proven experience managing product governance, regulatory reviews, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership, governance committees, and control functions.
  • Strategic, commercially driven, and able to balance growth opportunities with regulatory and risk considerations.
