As the Live Operations Technical Program Manager, you’re responsible for ensuring the Live Operations team is effectively serving our players in APAC regions. You will work closely with partners in Riot’s APAC Publishing organizations, Riot’s central tech organization and our partners at Tencent to ensure everyone is aligned on how we’re serving these players. You will work closely with Live Operations product leadership to ensure that region specific needs are addressed and balanced appropriately within the Live Operations’ organization.

You should bring a proven track record of influencing across teams and products to deliver compelling experiences for your customers. You should have a deep understanding of player expectations. You should also build strong relationships with developers across teams at Riot and partner developer studios. 

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that operations in APAC meet desired performance metrics in the region
  • Serve as Live Operation’s primary representative
  • Coordinate with game publishing teams to ensure publishing efforts match product deliveries
  • Create program plans with cross functional teams such as creative, architecture, operations, technical teams, and leadership
  • Evangelize processes and delivery methodologies to ensure we accomplish our program goals
  • Facilitate and manage Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large or team-of-team project teams
  • Organize program-level planning, communication, and team member rituals
  • Manage risks and issues across programs and within teams
  • Foster transparency and predictability by building and maintaining roadmaps for assigned programs
  • Maintain partner relationships, providing visibility into workstreams and maintaining partner satisfaction
  • Collaborate with multiple operations’ leadership to ensure that our games operate at the same or better level of quality as other regions
Required Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of experience relevant experience in program management, production or product management
  • Experience in software development, infrastructure, or live operations management
  • Excellent teamwork, team leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
  • Experience driving delivery of cross-functional programs in alignment with functional roadmaps and strategic priorities
  • Experience managing global partnerships across language and culture
  • Experience effectively managing a diverse group of stakeholders across multiple companies and geographies
  • Ability to adjust schedule to be able to meet with global teams in various timezones
  • Experience with iterative development methodologies like Scrum & Agile, and have used supporting software (i.e. JIRA)
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience managing hardware/software/video game products through the entire life cycle - from conception, development and launch to maintaining and operating a live service.
  • Experience working on a variety of software products in the gaming or entertainment space.
  • Experience leading change management on large-scale programs
  • Experience taking games from development to launched
