Job Description
Job Summary**
Lead and manage a high-performing team within United Overseas Bank Ltd, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to achieve departmental targets and contribute to the bank's overall objectives.
* Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including internal departments and external partners, to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
* Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant banking laws and regulations.
* Prepare and present reports on team performance, progress, and challenges to senior management.
* Drive innovation and process improvements within the team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Participate in talent acquisition, onboarding, and performance management processes for team members.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
* Proven track record of successfully leading and developing teams.
* Strong understanding of banking operations, products, and services.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions.
* Proficiency in financial analysis, project management, and risk management principles.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* Strong ethical compass and commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity.
