What Strategic Sourcing - Global Products contributes to Cardinal Health
Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.
Strategic Sourcing Global Products is responsible for managing a portfolio of Cardinal Brand products, raw materials, spend and suppliers. Development and execution of global sourcing strategies to achieve best total value, sustainable productivity and high levels of quality and service aligned with business objectives.
 

Responsibilities

  • Manage APAC supply base with assigned categories to deliver best-in-class product cost, quality, service, compliance, and innovation for Cardinal Health branded products for North American, APAC and EMEA markets. 

  • Co-develop and execute global Sourcing strategies to achieve best in class value, sustainable productivity, and high levels of quality and service aligned to applicable product category strategies.

  • Sourcing project execution, lead the sourcing workstream in Project team, select the supplier with the compliance of company SOP, negotiate favorable contracts, and manage supplier performance and relationships. Work closely with Project leader and global cross-functional team member to ensure no delays caused by Sourcing or Supplier.

  • Leverage the market intelligences, key cost drivers and cost modelling to support the development of negotiation strategies.

  • Measure, track and manage supplier performance in terms of cost, quality and supply chain and facilitate regular supplier feedback discussions.

  • To comply with company business ethnics and procedure and perform responsible procurement.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Science or engineering or equivalent.

Must have:

  • 5-8 years of experience Strategic Sourcing role, in multinational company or global environment.

  • Solid Strategic Sourcing capability, experienced in End to End Sourcing scope: Supplier Scouting, Supplier Selection, Contracting negotiation, Should cost, Negotiation, On boarding, Life Cycle Management, VA&VE, execute Sourcing strategy with cross functional teams.

  • Solid interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Able to communicate effectively with suppliers and cross function team in Asia & US.

  • High fluency in Microsoft office skills – Excel/Word/PowerPoint is a must.

  • Quick learner, self-motivated, detail oriented & full of ownership.

  • Able and willing to conference call with peers in US & Singapore on regular basis

  • Able and willing to frequently travel

Nice to have:

  • Medical device industry is preferred.

  • Experience of PPE and Non-woven product project sourcing is a plus.

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment to deliver cost, quality, and service results in time manner.
