Meet the Team

Join the Product & Test Engineering (PTE) team that plays a crucial role in enabling successful, high-quality product launches at Silicon Labs. As a Senior/Staff Product Engineer, you’ll work closely with Design, Test, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure our wireless SoCs and modules meet aggressive cost, performance, and reliability goals.

The team supports a wide range of technologies including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Zigbee, Wi-Fi, and Matter, and partners cross-functionally to optimize test coverage, yield, and customer returns. We bridge design and new product launches to drive product excellence and operational scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Own product engineering deliverables from NPI through new product launches and early manufacturing ramp support

  • Define guardbands, corner conditions, and ATE characterization strategies for robust product release

  • Support product qualification and reliability testing in line with JEDEC and AEC standards

  • Design burn-in hardware and develop stress test patterns (e.g., HTOL, ELFR, HAST) to support product qualification and ensure long-term reliability

  • Analyze yield, parametric data, and test results to identify and resolve issues affecting product performance, cost, and quality

  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for yield excursions, test coverage gaps, and customer returns

  • Monitor key metrics across fab, assembly, and test to ensure product health in production

  • Mentor junior engineers and help define best practices and methodology improvements

Skills You Will Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong background in product engineering or test engineering for high-volume semiconductor products

  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and scripting language (e.g., JMP, Python, SQL, R) and statistical problem-solving methods

  • Solid understanding of IC manufacturing, test processes, and failure analysis

  • Familiarity with analog/mixed-signal ICs or RF-enabled devices

  • Experience designing burn-in hardware and developing stress test patterns for qualification and reliability assessment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience (or MS with 3+ years)

The following qualifications will be considered a plus:

  • Experience in wireless or IoT SoCs (e.g., BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi)

  • Experience with ATE platforms or lab instrumentation

  • Familiarity with wafer sort, final test, and SLT

  • Knowledge of ESD/LU qualification and reliability testing

  • Background in developing automated test flows or data pipelines

  • Experience working in global, cross-functional environments

Benefits & Perks:
You can look forward to the following benefits:

  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)

  • Medical and dental insurance coverage including spouse and child(ren)

  • Bi yearly health screening and flu vaccination

  • Office location is above Tai Seng MRT station
