Job Summary

 

The Senior Specialist, HR Systems supports and enhances HR systems and processes through data-driven insights, effective system configuration, and strategic technology initiatives. The role partners closely with HR and IT teams to optimize system performance and user experience while driving continuous improvement in HR service delivery.


Job Responsibilities


  • Serve as the subject matter expert for HR systems, advising HR stakeholders on system functionality, effective usage, and best practices.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline HR processes, improve operational efficiency, and enhance service delivery through technology.
  • Support the end-to-end delivery of HRIS projects, including requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, implementation, upgrades, and post-implementation improvements.
  • Partner with HR and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear functional specifications for system configuration or development.
  • Collaborate with the internal AI team to identify suitable HR use cases and support the design, testing, and implementation of automation solutions, including HR AI agents and digital assets.
  • Analyze gaps between current HR processes and system capabilities, recommend appropriate solutions, and support approved enhancements that improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Develop, maintain, and keep current business process flows, configuration guides, training materials, and other system documentation to support operational continuity and user adoption.
  • Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), develop test scenarios, track defects, and confirm that system changes meet approved business requirements before deployment.
  • Investigate, prioritize, and coordinate the resolution of HR system issues, providing stakeholders with timely updates through to closure.
  • Maintain HR system configurations and data integrity by performing regular reviews, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring changes comply with established governance and control requirements.
  • Administer HR system security roles and access controls, conduct periodic access reviews, and ensure access is granted in accordance with approved authorization and data governance policies.

Job Requirements


Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology, or a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant professional qualifications and experience.

Experience

  • Three to five years of experience in HRIS support and implementation, with strong working knowledge of Workday.
  • Demonstrated experience with Workday modules such as Recruiting, Learning, and Onboarding.

 

Other Prerequisites

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to understand business requirements, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
