Position Overview

We are looking for a passionate back-end Senior Software Engineer to join our platform team in Singapore. Autodesk Platform Services (APS) is a cloud service platform that powers custom and pre-built applications, integrations, and innovative solutions. It offers APIs and web services to unlock the values of our customers' Design and Make data, and connects custom and end-to-end workflows. It is an opportunity to work on the APIs and services that directly impact the millions of users of Autodesk products.

In this hybrid role, you will contribute to the development of the foundational platform APIs, that are the building blocks for next-generation design apps. You will be part of an agile product team of smart and highly motivated engineers building world-class cloud software applications and services. You will work in a global organization and collaborate with local and remote colleagues from various disciplines like business, engineering, operations and support. This is an exciting opportunity to unequivocally help our customers build better and custom business solution, within and across disciplines and industries.

Responsibilities

  • Involve with all aspects of software development, striving to create the most reliable, secure, performant and high throughput service for our customers by leveraging cloud technology

  • Collaborate with software architects, product designers, product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to iteratively transform high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to consumers incrementally and continually

  • Contribute to software design and architecture by leveraging cloud design patterns and injecting your cloud expertise into the entire development lifecycle

  • Enhance the team's processes and deliverables to bolster effectiveness and efficiency in meeting customer and business demands

  • Conduct code reviews, assess implementations, and offer feedback for the enhancement of tools

  • Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field or relevant experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with cloud services and applications

  • Strong problem-solving skills and capability to work on complex systems

  • Solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms and excellent programming skills

  • Excellent hands-on software development experience in Java and familiarity with Java frameworks, such as Spring

  • Experience in consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Good knowledge of coding standards, performing code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP

  • Experience with data storage such as MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB etc.

  • Experience with other programming languages like Python

  • Experience building high quality, observable, scalable and secure cloud-based services using the latest technologies

  • Experience with observability, logging and alerting

  • Experience working in a Scrum team and Agile setup
