Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated Developer Relations engineer to work alongside our engineers with our community at Autodesk. This is a unique opportunity for a senior engineer / senior software developer who wishes to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, high-tech environment and enjoys supporting developer teams. The ideal candidate has solid development experience in Software Delivery domain and additionally likes writing, public speaking, and brings a good-natured and outgoing personality. As a Developer Relation engineer, you will be working on Connected Delivery domain with our engineers, communicate with our developer community through required channels and help them resolve any issues they may have. You will support the community with tutorials, updated documentations, trouble shooting and helpful tips.

Responsibilities

Ensure that our developer community is taken good care of
-
Represent Connected Delivery towards the community and the community towards the internal team
-
Monitor and respond to community questions in a nice, helpful and swift manner and help update FAQs, threads, documentations etc. accordingly

Help validate fixed issues and confirm resolution of the same
-
Help create and publish tutorials and articles for the community to support them in the best possible way
-
Document and analyze the community feedback in a structured way and suggest measures to best serve our community

Hold training sessions with related community members as applicable
Minimum Qualifications
-
Love working with people and enjoy being helpful
-
Have a strong engineering background and are a developer at heart
-
Have 10+ years of relevant software development experience
-
Enjoy and have experience with writing blogs and / or community management and / or teaching
-
Have excellent communication skills and enjoy explaining complex technical solutions in a way that most people would understand it

Have excellent English speaking and writing skills
-
are very open-minded and love to learn new things
-
Have a calm mindset and are good at context switching

Have earned a bachelor’s degree or more
Preferred Qualifications

Have contributed to open-source software
-
Have experience working at a startup and / or as a Community Manager and or Developer Relations and / or similar role

Have completed a Master degree related to Computer Science / Engineering or Business Administration
