Develop and maintain institutional and hedge fund client relationships, advise on trading strategies and market flow, execute trades accurately and timely, identify cross‑sell opportunities, collaborate with global sales teams, and coach the team on trading skills while managing market, operational, and regulatory risks to drive revenue.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
To develop a highly performant client base by:
- Discussing trading strategies, market intelligence & market flow trends
- Cultivating a strong client working relationship on assigned account coverages
- Build sound relationships with Sales traders in overseas offices and with Salespeople to enable exchange of information and ideas
- Identifying opportunities to cross sell CITICS/CLSA products to specified accounts
- Performing accurate execution in a timely manner
- Develop the team’s technical knowledge and trading skills
- Keep clients informed of market developments, news, and trading opportunities to support investment decisions and achieve best execution
- Develop and strengthen relationships with institutional and hedge fund clients to drive revenue growth and business opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mathematics, Statics, Engineering or related discipline(s)
- Minimum 9 years of relevant experience in equity sales trading within a dynamic brokerage, investment bank or institutional trading environment
- Extensive knowledge of market products and exchange regulations is preferred
- Proficient in the use of market data and trading platforms, including Bloomberg
- Sound understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle processes, including trade execution, settlement, operations, compliance, and risk management
- Demonstrated familiarity with market, operational, regulatory, and reputational risks associated with the sales trading role
- Entrepreneurial and client-focused professional with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently, demonstrating strong initiative, drive, and accountability
- Excellent command of English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus for engaging with stakeholders in Mandarin-speaking markets.
