We are looking for a talented and versatile Robotics Perception Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on perception system development, leveraging expertise in point cloud processing, sensor calibration, and advanced perception algorithms. The ideal candidate should be specialized in robotics perception disciplines, well-versed in robotics systems and algorithms, and being able to implement efficient and practical solutions with good software engineering practices.
Role Responsibilities

Perception Sensor and Sensor Calibration Expertise

Develop and improve sensor data pipelines including LiDAR, cameras, and radar, for reliable data acquisition and time synchronisation.

Develop and Improve turn-key sensor calibration GUI, monitoring and validation tools

Point Cloud Processing and Perception Algorithms
-
Design and implement efficient and optimizing algorithms for processing and interpreting point cloud data from LiDARs and radars, for object, feature detection, segmentation and tracking, as various required representations (e.g., object, geometry, occupancy grid etc.), in real-time on embedded or high-performance computing platforms.

Robotics Perception and Integration

Apply principles of probabilistic robotics, such as Kalman filters, particle filters, or SLAM, to enhance system reliability and accuracy.

Integrate perception functionalities such as neural network models with perception modules, and with other decision-making processes

Required experience:
-
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in robotics perception development, including real-world implementation.

Hands-on experience with autonomous systems, particularly in outdoor or semi-structured environments is a plus.

Proficiency in programming languages like C++ and Python, and good OOP coding practice

Strong understanding of perception sensors, including LiDAR, cameras, radar, and sensor calibration techniques.

Experience with robotics middleware such as ROS/ROS2.

Experience with point cloud libraries (e.g., PCL, Open3D) and 3D data processing frameworks.

Solid knowledge of probabilistic robotics, SLAM, and sensor fusion techniques.

Familiarity with computer vision libraries such as OpenCV, and exposure to deep learning frameworks is a plus.

Familiarity with high-performance computing frameworks (e.g., CUDA) is a plus.
