Jeppesen Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd.Jeppesen is seeking a customer-facing Senior Project Manager (non-management position) reporting to the Manager of Crew Implementation in our Singapore location. As the selected candidate, you will successfully manage multiple customer software implementation projects across the Asia Pacific region through effective planning, scheduling and controlling. Travel is expected, both between company offices globally, as well as to various customer locations.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Position Responsibilities:
Project Management: Applies extensive project management and customer experience while learning and adapting to Boeing and Jeppesen’s best practices framework to deliver project goals.
Schedule Management: Create and actively manage a project schedule for each project by estimating, identifying, tracking, and driving overall project timeline, project milestones, tasks, deliverables, customer requirements, task dependencies, and critical paths.
Scrum Master: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives); encourage effective communication and information exchange within the team and with stakeholders; coach the team to apply Agile principles and Scrum practices; actively remove impediments; provide guidance and support to improve team performance and effectiveness.
Cross Functional Leadership: Provides leadership, direction and integrates activities with other departments, Boeing and Jeppesen vendors, and partners to ensure successful implementation and support; facilitates roll out of Project Management best practices.
Issue / Risk Management: Anticipates, identifies, tracks, and drives resolutions on risks and issues that may impact implementation projects; and develops and implements mitigation and corrective actions.
Scope: Ensures the project remains focused on key objectives and goals. Develop and manage project expectations ensuring all applicable functional areas in Boeing and Jeppesen are engaged on the project. Actively monitors and controls the project to minimize scope creep.
Communication Management: Using a variety of media, clearly conveys information and ideas to internal and external stakeholders in a manner that engages the audience, ensures understanding, and drives required actions and follow‑up.
Change Management: Utilizes proper change management procedures to ensure scope is managed and additional work is captured and appropriately billed to customer.
Mindset: Demonstrate an open mind to new ideas and discovers new opportunities and solutions for problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. Tries different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
8+ years of external customer Project Management experience
Experience managing complex software implementation projects
Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.
Strong business acumen and relationship skills needed to build partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
Aviation industry experience
Excellent external and internal communication skills (e.g., writing, presentation)
Ability to travel 30% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher with degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Science & Technology or equivalent
PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent preferred
Expertise in airline crew management solutions
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project; Primavera experience is a plus
