Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing resources to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Construction Project Engineers work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed according to plan.

About the Role:

• Monitor progress of work with respect to Master project schedule
• Monitoring the execution of work at site to ensure alignment to the drawings and specification.
• Timely reminders to all contractors about the delays in schedule
• Ensuring the workability and adherence to standards in the work statement/methodologies submitted by contractors for each item of work and ensuring the alignment to the same at site. Responsible for all site work related documentation for the assigned items of work.
• Anticipate and flag imminent bottlenecks. Take steps to avoid delays. Furnish necessary reports of critical activities and super critical activities to client.
• Advice contractors in enhancing the resource productivity by implementing various work study techniques.
• Monitor procurement of materials, equipment and labour by contractors with respect to the time schedule and advise them suitable measures for improvement.
• Administration of all contracts, and assistance in resolution of differences and disputes, if any, arising during the duration of contract.
• Assisting QA/QC – in – charge in ensuring all quality parameters are met.
• Assisting the safety team in implementing the safety standards at site; provide all support for making job safety analysis.
• Escalating to project manager about all abnormal developments with respect to progress of work, safety, quality, resources etc
• Clarifies specification and continuously liaise with accountable Project Manager internal.
• Monitors construction activity, schedule, milestone and adherence to budgets and initiates actions to minimize non-conformance cost.
• Provide cost saving solutions and negotiate contractor change orders.
• Manages the project’s risk management process.
• Implementation of systems requirements in the installation and test plans of the Contractor for the detailed planning and construction phase until final takeover is completed.
• Ensure project construction & safety management plan are fully implemented.
About You:
• B.E Civil with 5 to 10 years of experience in buildings.
• Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
