Senior Product Portfolio Operations Associate, Market Data Services

Market Data Services Control is a global team responsible for all controls surrounding Market Data commercials and the translation of these in market data inventory systems and policies. The team provides consultancy to development teams on how to build high performance applications that consume market data to help manage risk, discover, and exploit trading opportunities. The team comprises three functions—Business Access Control, FITS Specialist, and Reporting—which work closely together to ensure data integrity, accurate charge allocation, and timely/accurate exchange and vendor reporting.
As a Senior Product Portfolio Operations Associate in the Market Data Services Control team, you are a significant contributor to your team with a strong knowledge of optimization and integration. You understand what it takes to bring together all the key elements of a product line and its products to ensure coordinated outcomes.
Job responsibilities
- Creates synergies across products to ensure successful delivery against business objectives
- Collects key inputs from across products to ensure the full product-line framework highlights our core cross-product priorities, sequencing, and trade-offs
- Calculates metrics for portfolio management operations and analyzes data for areas of opportunity
- Develops change initiative materials and change timelines
- Assists in the product-level collection strategy consisting of controls, financials, and resourcing needs
- Responds to client tickets in the queues while meeting the service level agreements (SLAs)
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date inventory in the OptimizeSpend/Financial Information Tracking System (FITS)
- Troubleshoots user and application entitlement issues
- Performs month-end activities including: user location checks and relocations, reviewing terminated users, and service usage review for cost savings
- Acts as the data guardian for Market Data systems including DACS and EMRS, and manages software upgrade testing, validations, and signoffs
- Maintains a control mindset by: staying alert to issues and risks, liaising with vendors on market data services, managing the team’s shared mailbox, and organizing critical documents systematically
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics or equivalent
- Formal training/certification with at least 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in program management or performance optimization
- Proven ability to implement initiatives that improve operational effectiveness
- Experience supporting product development lifecycle operations, including Agile methodologies
- Collaborative team player who is also a self-starter, able to work independently and autonomously
- Strong time management: effective multitasker who delivers multiple demands on time and to a high standard, even under pressure
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Creative, solutions-oriented problem solver who performs well under pressure
- Detail-oriented with a disciplined approach to process adherence and quality control
- Quick learner with the ability to self-manage priorities and balance multiple tasks
- Excellent client communication skills (verbal and written), alongside strong analytical, prioritization, organizational skills and risk/controls awareness
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Previous experience with Market Data systems such as OptimizeSpend, Refinitiv Data Access Control System (DACS), Bloomberg Entitlements Management and Reporting System (EMRS)
- Previous Accounting background
- Knowledge of key market data offerings from vendors such as Bloomberg, London Stock Exchange (LSEG)/Refinitiv, Factset etc.
- Understanding of Market Data Distribution and Licensing, and Audit
- Knowledge of Vendor and Exchange Reporting
