We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner for a 3–6 month contract engagement to support product development initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly integrate into Agile teams, drive product strategy, and deliver measurable outcomes within a defined timeframe.
Role and responsibilities, and how will the role create an impact?
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market, competitors, and customer needs to inform product strategy and roadmap for different products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and business, to define product requirements and prioritize product features.
- Work closely with engineering teams, as part of the Agile squad, to ensure the product vision is aligned with technical capabilities and constraints.
- Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, outlining key milestones and timelines for delivery.
- Monitor product performance and user feedback to continuously improve the product and drive customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain the product backlog, including clear and consistent user stories, acceptance criteria and prioritization
- Provide vision and direction to the agile development team & stakeholders
- Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of pre-prepared tasks to work through
- Identify problems linked to the evolution of the product
- Provide conceptual and technical solutions to deliver product
- Analyze the structure of a business, how it uses technology and what its goals are in order to provide appropriate advice to stakeholders and guide the Agile team
- Identify problems within a business, including through using data modeling techniques
- Formulate ways for businesses to improve, based on previous research
- Consult internal and external stakeholders about the benefits or drawbacks of new technology or strategies
- Oversee the implementation of new technology and systems
- Identify and manage all blockers and document solutions
- Manage and lead the product release and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
- Provide an active role in identifying and mitigating impediments that impact the successful team completion of sprint goals and product release
Requirements
How do you know if you are a good fit?
- 5+ years working experience as a Product Owner
- Degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Product Design or similar relevant field preferred
- Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and feedback
- An interest and understanding of project management techniques
- Understanding of Agile processes and principles is greatly desirable
- Ability to provide project leadership to a team
- Passion for UX design
- Creative thinker with a vision
