About the role

Sinch is expanding its global Product & Partner Marketing team and building a new Market Strategy team. We are currently recruiting for a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Market Strategy. Reporting to the Director of Market and Solution Strategy, this role involves working closely with the Director to shape and implement Sinch's market approach and positioning. The role involves developing a deep understanding of market dynamics and buyer behaviors. The individual will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure that market strategies are robust and product narratives are compelling and effective.

Key responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Analysis: Lead comprehensive market research initiatives to gain insights into market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs. Apply this information to inform strategic decisions and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Segmentation & Targeting: Define and refine market segmentation and buyer personas to effectively target and engage key customer segments.
  • Strategic Product Narrative: Develop and refine our cross-product and platform positioning. Craft compelling narratives that highlight the unique value propositions of Sinch’s offerings. Ensure these narratives are effectively communicated through thought leadership, analyst relations, and industry associations.
  • Industry Expertise: Provide deep industry knowledge to support go-to-market strategies and launch plans. Stay current with industry trends and developments to keep our offerings competitive.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with internal teams, including product management, marketing, and sales, to align strategies and drive execution. Mentor and guide junior team members to achieve departmental goals.

About you

To excel in this role, the candidate should be a commercially driven product marketer with a strategic mindset and hands-on expertise. Effective communication tailored to various stakeholders, combined with a balance of critical thinking and data-driven insights, is essential. The ideal person thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and enjoys team collaboration.

You should have/be

  • At least 7 years of experience in market strategy, product marketing, or a related field within the technology or communications industry.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of market research methodologies, competitive analysis (including win/loss programs), and buyer personas.
  • Expertise in creating effective cross-product positioning and narratives, with experience in marketing platforms and multi-persona products.
  • Experience with analyst relations, including managing large market reports like Gartner MQ, Forrester Wave, and IDC Marketscape.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing competitive insights and running win/loss programs.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to bring data and insights to bear in telling a story; experience with BI tools and/or SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to senior leadership and industry analysts.
  • Ability to balance critical thinking with a data-driven approach, while also being dynamic and pragmatic.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Willing to travel if needed.
